Step 1: Prepare the surface and tools

Ensure that the surface is clean, dry, and free from grease. If the surface is rough or uneven, use sandpaper to smooth and level it.

Step 2: Measure surface and cut wallpaper

Measure the length and width of the surface to be covered. If the shape is complex, sketch a rough outline in a notebook with measurements for each part.

Step 3: Apply peel and stick

Smooth the wallpaper flat to ensure it fits properly. Peel back one corner of the backing paper, then gradually pull more until around 1/4 inch is exposed. Press the wallpaper against the surface slowly from one corner to the other.

Step 4: Smooth the wallpaper to avoid wrinkles and air bubbles. Trim off any excess.

Gently remove the remaining backing paper, working from side to side to keep the paper smooth and expel any wrinkles or air bubbles that may form. If wrinkles or bubbles occur, gently tear the wallpaper free and try again until the whole surface is covered. Trim off any excess wallpaper.

Can it be used on textured walls?

Textured walls may cause the wallpaper to fall easier than on flat walls. Sand the walls to make them smooth before applying the wallpaper, or use 3M adhesive to fill in gaps and low spots.

Is it wide enough?

What about wrinkles and bubbles?

If wrinkles or bubbles occur during installation, gently tear the wallpaper and try again. Use a small pin to smooth down any bubbles towards the hole.

Can I install it alone?
